"In my work, I touch on the subject of trust and broken trust. The moment of revelation, when your world collapses and you cannot breathe. Ceramic plates carry different meanings. For me, they symbolize nourishment, connection, creation, and giving. The Jewish tradition of “the breaking of a plate” in a couple’s engagement symbolizes several things, for instance: just as the plate will never be whole again, the couple will never separate.”
