Y.M.K.A is a Jerusalem-based drums-guitar-electronics trio. The music they create is improvisation based on a common language and several visual decisions made before each concert. The sound ranges from subtle textural improvisations on minimalist themes, through the fast breakbeats of drum and bass to metallic industrial. The ensemble aspires to put the drums center stage as a solo instrument, while the guitar and electronics fill in the picture.
