During the 3 days of the festival, the foyer of the Karnaf Hall will feature “LoopMix 8” a sound installation that makes use of taped material of Jewish Music: Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Mizrahi and others. The installation combines a number of looped sampled from the archive’s tapes.
Mar-Chaim is among the pioneers of experimental music in Israel. Alongside his work for the sage he is considered a local herald of Fluxus and other movements in art and music related to experimental sound. Asaf Setti, a multidisciplinary artist, also works in the realm between visual art and sound art.
