Projection Incognita

The Wonder Park of Musrara
Students from the departments of New Media and Photography
Created especially for the festival, “Projection Incognita” appears as a small-scale sculpture garden with works by students in Musrara’s projection mapping course. The rapid growth of project mapping technologies in recent years makes the domain itself into something of a ‘terra incognita,’ an uncharted territory offering ever more options for specially-adjusted projections on myriad objects and textures, together with greater user interaction.
The sculpture garden brings small-scale student projects in projection mapping, works that make use of both ready-mades and purposely-built objects as their screening surfaces, among them compasses, porcelain pots, fluids enclosed in glass jars fluids, water buckets, fans and more.
