Musrarasonics - Electro Acoustic Program
Diemo Schwarz, among this year’s guests at the festival, is a researcher at the ICRAM institute for sound research in Paris, probably the leading of its kind in the world. Schwarz is the developer of concatenative synthesis, a new and original synthesizing method based on an advanced mapping of sound properties. The system allows, among others, to create sound sequences based on sounds produced from a different sequence, as for example the playing of a violin based on sound sampled from a helicopter.
On Thursday 8.6, he will conduct a workshop with Musrara’s Analogue Research Group, followed by an artist talk where he will discuss his work (see Workshops).
Supported by Institut français de Jérusalem - antenne Romain Gary
