In “Woman without a Home,” Raida Adon raises questions on the notion of the ‘home’ and what it constitutes: Is it the actual home we inhabit, or maybe our bodies? Is it the country we live in or yet the bed that carries us throughout our lives, in our sleep, through sickness, pain and hardship, in our loves, dreams, and eventually in old age?
For it is the bed that carries us when we part from life, at the moment of turning from living body to prostrate corpse. Adon’s video brings this journey in pursuit of a safe haven, of a place where we may lay down and repose, peaceful and secure.
