Yafit Reuveny & Dafi Sapunar
Exhibition in Public Space
A female figure is woven and unraveled through audio and video layers in carpet-like textures. The circular motions carried by the patterns, which are inspired by the aesthetic of Persian rugs and miniatures, evoke the cycle of life and the alternation of concealment and disclosure. A collaboration by Musician Yafit Reuveny and photographer Dafi Sapunar, the work is based on the “Ahange Halibaf” (“Song of the Weavers”), a Persian folk song that Reuveny learned from her mother, of Persian origin.
