“First they abducted me and brought me here by force, making me a human commodity, and now they try to force me out as damaged goods.” These are the words of Csilla, a victim of human trafficking abducted in Hungary 19 years ago and brought to Israel, where she was locked up in a brothel and forced to work there.
8 years later Csilla had managed to break free from the horrific cycle of forced prostitution, and now she battles for her right to remain in Israel. Yael Shachar, a multidisciplinary artist and cinematographer, is currently filming a documentary that follows Csilla in her legal fight against the authorities in Israel, excerpts from which will be screened at the festival.
