Eli Keszler - Artist's Talk

  • Slideimage1
Eli Keszler's paintings are intuitive, and to a large extent address matters of energy and dexterity. At the same time, his musical world is also concerned with density: his unique playing style casts dense and messy bodies of sound out of noticeably ultra fast drumming, while his sound installations create ever-shifting harmonic layers of long notes from arrays of automatically plucked strings.
In his talk, Eli Keszler will discuss converges between the various tentacles of his artistic universe: composition, painting, performing and building sound installations. He will elaborate on the aesthetic and conceptual connections and tangential meeting points between the different practices, and the way in which notation, drawing score and blueprint project on one another.
